Information

Introduced just after the battle of Jutland, this grey was gradually introduced on Royal Navy warships and became the standard peace-time colour for ships of the Home Fleet through the 1920s.

The description of "Light Grey" is historically correct despite the medium/dark appearance. The reader must understand that it was lighter than the Admiralty Pattern 507 and 507A greys already introduced! The names given by the Royal Navy were relative, therefore.

** Colour renders given above are for guidance only - differences in colour space models for physical paints versus illuminated pixels on screen and limitations of conversions between models means that what you see on your screen cannot be used for colour matching purposes. An accurate colour can be found sprayed on each tin lid and within the tin. **

Colourcoats are available in 14ml as standard. 125ml or larger quantities are available on request.
