Information |
Based on our own extensive research using primary source reference material, we offer our new Home Fleet Grey - the most accurate on the market bar none. Documented tolerances were 10-13% Light Reflectance Value. NARN20 offers a 13% version; the lightest tolerance. Admiralty Pattern 507B was a glossy formulation containing enamel and in this guise was used from 1936 to 1939. Admiralty Pattern 507A was reintroduced as matt paint from 1939 and remained in the Rate Book of Naval Stores until the 1950s. Use of 507B was suspended from 1940 until 1947 to economise on enamel use and to avoid glare from reflections during wartime. See our research paper here for the background information underpinning this shade. |
** Colour renders given above are for guidance only - differences in colour space models for physical paints versus illuminated pixels on screen and limitations of conversions between models means that what you see on your screen cannot be used for colour matching purposes. An accurate colour can be found sprayed on each tin lid and within the tin. **
Colourcoats are available in 14ml as standard. 125ml or larger quantities are available on request.
